Ravens QB Lamar Jackson shares how he’s continuing to evolve

The Baltimore Ravens have seen quarterback Lamar Jackson grow yearly since he entered the league in 2018. He’s improved his game every year, and with it has come two MVP awards and countless records broken.

One area where Jackson doesn’t have as much experience as some of his counterparts is changing plays at the line and other similar activities, mainly due to the team’s previous offensive system. When asked about where he’s continuing to evolve, Jackson said adding extra layers to the team’s calls is a big emphasis point.

“Oh, just being able to change extra plays and stuff like that. From us watching film and getting into games, teams changing things up on us, we just want to add extra layers to all of our calls, if anything. “

Jackson was given far more responsibility in Year 1 of Todd Monken’s offense than he ever was in Greg Roman’s system. He should continue to receive more reins, increasing his productivity even further.
