The Baltimore Ravens have seen the topic of a potential contract extension with quarterback Lamar Jackson turn into a major storyline over the past year. The two sides have yet to come to terms on a long-term deal, causing major debate as to when or if some form of an agreement will be reached despite both sides actively saying they’d like to pursue a long-term partnership.
On Monday, Jackson responded to an account on Twitter that said Baltimore offered him $250 million guaranteed by clarifying that they did not. He also liked a photo of himself in a Miami Dolphins jersey, setting the social media site on fire with speculation.

It’s unclear what motivated Jackson to like the post, whether it was meant to send a message to the team or if it was something that means absolutely nothing. However, the fact remains that there has been no deal struck yet, and with Jackson implying an initial deadline of the beginning of the season for a deadline in talks, there are still a lot of moving parts to figure out.
