The Baltimore Ravens’ offense showed plenty of potential in their Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions. Many were expecting more of the same against the then 1-6 Arizona Cardinals, but Baltimore’s offense took a step back in terms of consistency over the course of the contest.
After the game, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson revealed what was giving him problems in the first half of the game, courtesy of the Cardinal’s defense. He mentioned that the offense shouldn’t be holding the ball long, and that Arizona was able to get after them and disrupt the backfield.
“I believe [Arizona’s] defense – the type of defense they were playing – some of the plays we had, we shouldn’t be holding the ball long. They were able to get after us a little, disrupt the backfield a little, that’s all. But hats off to their defense because they fought well.”
