Ravens QB coach Tee Martin reveals where he believes QB Lamar Jackson has made biggest strides

The Baltimore Ravens made a bevy of coaching changes over the course of the 2023 offseason. While the one that got most of the attention was swapping out offensive coordinators from Greg Roman to Todd Monken, other coaches were moved around as well.

Wide receivers coach Tee Martin was assigned to be the team’s quarterbacks coach, and has been working with quarterback Lamar Jackson in improving his game. When Martin was asked where he believes Jackson has taken his biggest strides, he mentioned his pre and post-snap plans.

“I just think just having his pre-snap and post-snap plan. Once the play gets called, he’s already processing what he wants to do, and he puts in the work early in the week to kind of have an idea of what to expect from a coverage standpoint [and] from a blitzing standpoint, and he’s getting through his progressions really quick. And [he’s also] just having a good plan [for] if something breaks down … If it’s there, he takes it. He’s being very disciplined in his progressions, and that’s allowing him to be consistently successful in the passing game.”
