Ravens players welcome S Marcus Williams to Baltimore on Twitter

The Baltimore Ravens made a few big splashes on the free agent market on Tuesday, reportedly agreeing to terms with safety Marcus Williams and offensive lineman Morgan Moses. While Moses was signed to a steal of a deal at three years, $15 million, Williams’ contract was a bargain in itself even though there are more years and money on it at five years, $70 million.

After the reports came out that Williams was indeed coming to Baltimore, a few Ravens players to Twitter to welcome their new teammate in inside linebacker Patrick Queen and safety Tony Jefferson II. Both seemed excited about Williams’ arrival.

Williams should provide a ballhawking presence in the back end of Baltimore’s defense. He can create turnovers with his range and closing speed, and is an underrated hitter as well. He is also just 25-years-old and entering his prime, which means he should have many great years with the Ravens alongside some extremely talented teammates that are clearly ready to play with him.
