Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley discusses team’s dominance on the ground in Week 14 vs. Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Pittsburgh Steelers by the final score of 16-14 in Week 14, improving their record to 9-4 on the 2022 season.  In the victory, the Ravens running game was one of the determining factor in the outcome, with the team averaging 5.1 yards per carry as a whole.

Ronnie Stanley spoke to the media on Tuesday, and was asked about hearing that Pittsburgh knew what was coming late in the game when the offense was trying to run the ball to secure the game. Stanley called it “the best compliment you can have as an offensive lineman”, also saying the team was able to get the job done.

“Yes, I think so. I think that’s the best compliment you can have as an offensive lineman – is to be able to run the ball in those situations when you’ve got to have it, [and] both teams [and] everyone in the stadium knows what’s going on. So, we were able to execute [last Sunday in Pittsburgh], and we got the job done.”

With J.K. Dobbins back and Gus Edwards in the fold as well, the team was able to dominate on the ground in Week 14.  It was a struggle to get the running game going for most of the season, but Dobbins and Edwards can change that behind an offensive line that has plenty of talented players on it.
