Ravens named as fit for sleeper 2023 LB prospect by The Draft Network

The Baltimore Ravens have five picks in the 2023 NFL draft, and will need to have a great draft weekend in order to fill out some of the remaining holes on their roster. There are plenty of routes that the team can go over the three days of festivities, but many will be looking at how they address the cornerback and wide receiver positions.

When listing off fits for Washington State linebacker Daiyan Henley, Justin Melo of The Draft Network put Baltimore in the conversation. When explaining why, he mentioned fellow linebackers Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen, saying that Henley would be low-cost insurance at the position.

“The Ravens made a big-money move for Roquan Smith at last year’s trade deadline. There are some question marks over who Smith’s long-term running mate will be. General manager Eric DeCosta has until early May to exercise the fifth-year option on former first-round linebacker Patrick Queen…Queen has enjoyed an up-and-down career. DeCosta may not want to guarantee Queen a sum of $12.7 million in 2024, especially after signing Smith to a $100 million extension. Drafting Henley would add some low-cost insurance to the future outlook of the position.”
