The Baltimore Ravens will enter the 2024 training camp with questions about which players will step up after losing major talent during the offseason. One area to look at is the team’s secondary, where their cornerback room has plenty of depth, but the safety position does not outside of their two stars, Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams.
When naming landing spots for veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Garrett Podell of CBS Sports threw the Ravens into the ring. He talked about how Gilmore and fellow cornerback Marlon Humphrey could be mentors for rookie Nate Wiggins, and playing in Baltimore could allow the veteran to compete for another Super Bowl.
“Gilmore, along with Humphrey, could prove to be two great mentors for Wiggins. Plus, teaming up with two-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson would allow the 12-year vet to remain in the Super Bowl hunt in his 13th season.”
The Ravens already have Humphrey, Wiggins, Brandon Stephens, T.J. Tampa, and more in their cornerback room. While Gilmore could potentially move to safety at this point in his career, it seems like he wants to stay at his regular position, making it challenging to see a fit in Baltimore without an injury.
