The Baltimore Ravens lost outside linebacker Tyus Bowser in Week 18 of the 2021 season to a torn Achilles. In Week 9 of the 2022 season against the New Orleans Saints, Bowser made his season debut and played like he hadn’t missed any time, making impact plays while getting back into the swing of live game action.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was asked how he thought Bowser performed in his first game of the year. Harbaugh said he thought the former Houston star “played excellent”, and looked like he hadn’t missed any time, speaking to the hard work he put in over the course of his rehab to get back on the field.

“He played well. Tyus [Bowser] played very well. He was active, fast, versatile like we know. He did a lot of different things well. I thought he played excellent – like he hadn’t even missed any time at all, really – so that’s a good sign” said Harbaugh.
With the additions of Bowser, Roquan Smith, David Ojabo and Marcus Williams, the defense is going to be a dominant force once everyone is back at full strength. The depth at every position is a huge plus that will help keep the players fresh during December and into January, with possibly February on the horizon as well.
