Ravens HC John Harbaugh shares thoughts on RBs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards playing together again

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14 by the final score of 16-14 in a slugfest. The two teams made sure to grind out every yard for the entirety of the contest, but it was Baltimore that came out on top in an ever-so important divisional matchup.

In the game, running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards were on the field together for the first time since the 2020 season, and led the Ravens to a dominant performance on the ground. Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh talked about the duo, saying it was good to see Dobbins and Edwards back together while also giving a shoutout to running backs Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake.

“Yes, it’s good to see those guys [J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards] back together, and I also feel great about Justice [Hill] and feel great about Kenyan [Drake]. But those guys are guys that we kind of built the team around, right? So, to see those guys coming back and possibly becoming what we envisioned originally – after the really tough, gruesome injuries – is really encouraging, and I don’t think either one of them would tell you that they’re fully there yet. So, let’s just keep heading in this direction, is what our goal would be.”

Dobbins carried the ball 15 times for 120 yards and a touchdown, while Edwards had 13 rushes for 66 yards. Both were key pieces in Baltimore’s win, and should be called upon in many different ways as the season begins to wind down and the playoffs approach.
