The Baltimore Ravens have been revamping their coaching staff over the last few weeks, seeing talented football minds come and go. The team is looking to improve from a 10-7 season that saw them lose in the Wild Card round to the Cincinnati Bengals, and bringing in new ideas from coaches is one way to shake things up.
On Wednesday, Baltimore hired former All-Pro defensive lineman Chuck Smith to be their outside linebackers coach. Following the announcement of the move Ravens head coach John Harbaugh released a statement, saying that Smith is a proven and highly respected pass rush coach who will bring unique insight, experience and passion to the team.
