The Baltimore Ravens beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-14 in a hard-fought game in Week 14 of the 2022 season. Both teams lost their initial starting quarterbacks in the contest, so it ended up being Anthony Brown vs. Mitch Trubisky at the end, as they replaced Tyler Huntley and Kenny Pickett respectively.
There were many reasons why Baltimore was able to come out of Pittsburgh with a victory, as multiple players stepped up when needed. Head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media right after the game and was proud of his team for overcoming injuries to win the game, raving about his team’s character and toughness.

“…Just a shoutout to the great environment, the experience here in Pittsburgh and the amazing rivalry that this is. We appreciate it, and we appreciate victories like this in this environment against Pittsburgh because we have respect for them and for the rivalry. I’m very proud of our guys. I think it was the kind of victory that you can attribute to heart and character and toughness and finding a way to get the job done, and never giving up, and never flinching and having each other’s back in the end. So, a lot of guys stepped up; the two guys in this room obviously – Anthony Brown and J.K. Dobbins – stepped up in a big way when we needed it the most. That drive in the fourth quarter will go down in history as one of the great drives in this rivalry. It will in my mind, I promise you that. So, I’m proud of everybody; I appreciate everybody; [I] trust everybody on this team, love this team. [I] love this team; I love every guy on this team and trust and believe in every guy on this team. We’re very, very proud of this victory. Past that, we’re moving on to Cleveland. That’s next, and that’s our next challenge in Cleveland…”
The game was Brown’s first NFL action after being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday. The running game took control once he was inserted in the lineup for Huntley, but he played mistake free and made a few big-time throws.
Baltimore will face off against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, and it could be Brown at the helm depending on how Huntley does during the week after suffering a concussion.
