The Baltimore Ravens’ regular season begins in just under two weeks, where the team will travel to take on the New York Jets in Week 1. Injuries are a part of football, and it’s not a surprise that some players who received playing time during the preseason picked up injuries. One of those players is cornerback Kevon Seymour, who picked up the ailment in Baltimore’s Week 3 win over the Washington Commanders.
Following training camp practice on Monday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media. When asked about the veteran cornerback, Harbaugh said Seymour suffered an ankle sprain and that he expects him to return early in the season.

“We did. He has an ankle sprain. So, that’s good news. It’s not going to be like a week, it could be a few weeks. But we’ll have him sometime early in the season.”
Seymour has been fighting for a roster spot this offseason in a crowded cornerback room that also includes players such as Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Kyle Fuller and more. The NFL roster cutdown deadline to 53 players is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30th.
