The Baltimore Ravens selected outside linebacker David Ojabo in the second round of the 2022 draft out of the University of Michigan. He tore his achilles at his Pro Day in March before the draft, and worked his way back to play towards the end of the season for Baltimore during his rookie year.
After the second session of the Ravens’ football school, Baltimore defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald discussed the potential versatility with Ojabo, specifically with putting him on the inside for certain plays. He said that he believes that Ojabo can rush inside and outside, but says the rookie will likely start on the outside first before any snaps inside are considered.
“I think he can rush inside and out. The skillset, and it just gets on you a little quicker inside, so that’s something you have to get used to a little bit. We’ll probably start him outside and see where it goes from there – similar to what we did with Odafe [Oweh] last year.”
