Ravens agree to contract alterations with RB Gus Edwards

The Baltimore Ravens applied the non-exclusive franchise tag to quarterback Lamar Jackson, incurring a $32.4 million cap hit for the time being. The team has been making moves to get back under the salary cap, starting with trading safety Chuck Clark to the New York Jets and restructuring the contract of defensive lineman Michael Pierce.

On Friday after announcing the restructure of Pierce’s contract, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reported that Baltimore had agreed to contract alterations with running back Gus Edwards. The former Rutgers star was a key candidate to have his contract restructured or be released, but it appears as if a solution has been reached by both sides.
