Raveena Tandon talks about how actresses are treated by media; asks why Madhuri Dixit is called ‘superstar of 90’s' but Aamir Khan isn't

Raveena Tandon recently raised some questions on how female actors are treated by the media as compared to the male actors.

According to her, when Aamir Khan takes a break of 2-3 years and comes back with a movie, nobody calls it his comeback. Nobody refers to him as a "90s superstar." Raveena stressed that even actresses from the 90s have been working regularly. However, there are so many articles in the media where they call Madhuri Dixit - ‘superstar of the 90s’. Raveena added that even though Madhuri has been working continuously, she is being labelled like that. However, nobody says that about Salman Khan or Sanjay Dutt. There is a need to end this disparity, Raveena said at an event.

On the work front, Raveena was last seen in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ co-starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt. The film was a success at the box office. Next, she will be seen in ‘Ghudchadi’ with Sanjay Dutt. The film is a light-hearted comedy-romantic drama that also stars Aruna Irani, Khushalii Kumar, and Parth Samthaan in pivotal roles.
