Rats seen scurrying around outside Morrisons store forcing pest control to be called in

Rats have been spotted outside a supermarket in north Wales. A video footage has captured around half a dozen rats scurrying around near the entrance of Morrisons in the Gwynedd town of Caernarfon, North Wales Live reports.

In response, the supermarket chain has now said that there are "no health and safety issues" as a result of the sighting. The footage, which was shared on Facebook, was taken just yards from the main entrance of the supermarket.

The 33-second clip shows the rodents running around the bench by the drop-off bay at the front of the store. Two full-grown rats and three babies appear to be present.

The scenes were captured on video last Wednesday, March 15 and were later posted on social media. The video has so far garnered over 19,000 views.

In a statement, a Morrisons spokesperson said: "We are aware of an isolated sighting in our car park and pest control have confirmed there are no heath and safety issues."
