In an ideal world the January transfer window is for other clubs. The ones that are desperate for reinforcements to fire them away from the relegation zone or to reinvigorate a failing push for Europe or appease a restless fanbase.
If your club’s doing well, you can just watch on from the sidelines in January as increasingly desperate teams shell out increasingly over-the-top fees on increasingly over-hyped players.
Heck, you may even be able to take advantage by moving on one of your out-of-favour players for an inflated price.

But as so often is the case, Everton are the side desperate for reinforcements as they try to (once again) escape the clutches of relegation.
Only this year it’s been made even more interesting with the appointment of Sean Dyche coming just hours before the window slams shut.
Dyche’s arrival coincided with the departure of Anthony Gordon leaving the new boss with money in his pocket but plenty to do going into the last knockings of January.
But maybe it isn’t all doom and gloom. We want to know your views on the window. Using our Everton transfer slider, give us your assessment of the club’s January’s transfer dealings.
