Gardaí have asked for the public's help in finding the owner of a missing Jack Russell.
The adorable pup was spotted by guards in Rathmines yesterday morning and looks to be extremely well-cared for.
The terrier is wearing a dark brown collar but sadly has no name tag.
An Garda Síochána tweeted: "This Jack Russell was found by Rathmines Gardaí yesterday morning. It was wearing a dark brown collar but had no name tag. If you recognise this dog and can assist in reuniting it with its owner, please contact Rathmines Garda Station at (01) 666 6700."
Concerned locals immediately wonder what the dog's gender was as gardaí did not specify.
One person wrote: "It? Surely with your powers of detection you can tell if it's male or female!"
Another wondered if the dog arrived at Rathmines garda station with a purpose.
They wrote: "Am seeking to become garda dog. Am not big but once I have a villain by the ankle they'll not be shaking me off."
Others simply hoped that the pet will be reunited with its family soon and thanked the gardaí for their dedication to animal welfare.
