Newcastle United took a giant stride towards qualifying for the Champions League with a ruthless 6-1 win over top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Two goals each from Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak, as well as a goal from Joelinton, saw the Magpies race into an astonishing 5-0 lead over Spurs after just 21 minutes at St James' Park.
A shellshocked Tottenham did manage to recover to manage a consolation goal through Harry Kane but Callum Wilson compounded their misery when he added a sixth goal with his first touch after coming on as a second half substitute.
