Having held the hosts at bay for 40 minutes, Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead before a ponderous error by Idrissa Gueye allowed Gabriel Martinelli to double their advantage on the stroke of half-time.

And the misery of the Blues' trip to the capital was complete when Martin Odegaard and another strike from Martinelli completed a 4-0 route after the break.
