Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Wolves.
The Reds secured the three points with second half goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. It means that Liverpool are now up to sixth place in the league table, and six points adrift of the top four places with a game in hand on fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Darwin Nunez thought he put Liverpool in front midway through the second half. However, his effort was later ruled out by VAR for a foul by Jota in the build up.

Liverpool eventually took the lead through a Van Dijk header a few minutes later. Salah then doubled the home side’s lead in the latter stages of the half to secure the victory.

Liverpool’s next match sees them take on bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday. The previous meeting between the two clubs ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Reds last August at Old Trafford.
