Liverpool failed to build on the momentum of wins against Man City and West Ham - and slumped to a 1-0 defeat away to Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp was unable to call on the services of Darwin Nunez and Thiago, with both players ruled out due to muscle tightness and an ear infection respectively.
Former Liverpool man Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring for the home side, finding the back of the net on 55 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson were both brought on for the Reds just after the hour mark, replacing James Milner and Fabio Carvalho.
More changes followed, but Klopp's charges could not find a way back into the game. The result means the Reds are still yet to win on the road in the Premier League this season.
Next up for Liverpool is Ajax away in the Champions League in midweek. They then have a home tie against Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday night, to end the month.
