Liverpool are out of the Champions League after losing 6-2 to Real Madrid on aggregate in the last-16 of the competition.
After losing 5-2 in the first leg of the knockout tie at Anfield, Liverpool came to the Spanish capital knowing they needed to win by four goals, but were beaten 1-0 in a timid performance.
Jurgen Klopp's side managed to muster some half chances in the first half of the game, but failed to really trouble the Madrid defence before Karim Benzema won the game for his side late in the second period.
Liverpool are now facing a huge fight to be in the Champions League next season as they sit in sixth in the Premier League - six points away from Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.

Liverpool now have an extended break after missing out on the FA Cup quarter-finals, so the Reds will not play until Saturday, April 1 when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad after the international break.
