Everton suffered a stomach-churning defeat at the hands of Brentford on Sunday, ensuring that the threat of relegation lives on for another match at least.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave the Toffees an early lead, before the Blues were reduced to ten men when Jarrad Branthwaite was shown a straight red card. The Bees pulled level as Yoane Wissa's delivery deflected in off Seamus Coleman but when the Blues were awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time, Brazilian Richarlison made no mistake from the spot.
It looked like Frank Lampard's team could possibly hold on for a gutsy win, but two quick-fire second half goals from Wissa and Rico Henry turned the game on its head, before substitute Salomon Rondon also received a red card.
