The wheels had to come off the Newcastle bandwagon at some point, and it was no shame that it happened against world-beaters Liverpool. The visitors won 1-0 against Newcastle at St James' Park today, ending the Magpies' run of home wins.
The winning goal came from Naby Keita while Fabian Schar was on the deck after a clash with James Milner. As Schar lay on the pitch, Keita cut his way through the Newcastle box seemingly with all the time in the world before putting it away.
Newcastle offered very little up front and were repeatedly caught offside by the famously well-drilled Liverpool defence. Newcastle's own defence did a good job though, with Martin Dubravka in particular putting in a superb performance which was appreciated by fans.

Our chief sports writer Lee Ryder gave Dubravka an eight out of 10, while he gave Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron just six each, and Joe Willock only five. Do you agree?
