Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund wants to sign for Manchester United, according to reports.
The Dane is one of several strikers linked with a switch to Old Trafford this summer - with the club keeping tabs on the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani. The Athletic are reporting that the Serie A side are 'open to a sale' but want a fee of around £40m.
United boss Ten Hag has spoken with Hojlund on video call. The 20-year-old would be more of a long-term signing and a gamble too, but his 10 goals for Atalanta and five for Denmark have made him a highly sought-after young talent.
Hojlund only made the move to Austrian side Sturm Graz in January 2022, before being snapped up by Atalanta in August. It has been claimed that the striker is 'eager' to become a United player, with the co-founder of his agency - Kees Vos - currently representing Ten Hag and regularly visiting Carrington.

Elsewhere, United are reportedly being put off a summer move for David Raya.
Sky Sports write that United are 'reluctant' to stump up the £40million fee being asked for by Brentford - who are standing firm over their valuation of the Spanish goalkeeper. Bees boss Thomas Frank stuck by that price tag in press conferences towards the end of last season, with Raya set to enter the final year of his contract.
The goalkeeper's agent has pleaded for Brentford to lower their asking price in recent weeks and United - along with Tottenham Hotspur - are both said to disagree with the demanded fee. Raya will not be signing a new deal with the Premier League side, who have already brought in goalkeeper Mark Flekken from Freiburg.
