The Baltimore Ravens add players to their team with all different kinds of backgrounds from all over the place. Some grow up watching football for their entire lives, others find their love for the sport a bit later on, and some begin playing just a few years before they end up getting drafted by Baltimore.
In an interview with Marlon Humphrey on the cornerback’s show “Studio 44”, Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman revealed that he grew up rooting for a rival of Baltimore in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Once Bateman shared the news, Humphrey’s reaction said it all.

Bateman responded on Twitter when Ravens fans started picking up on the news.

The receiver said that the fandom was inherited from his father, but now that Bateman is wearing purple and black it’s possible that his family members that were Steelers fans could have converted over to Baltimore fandom. The second-year player looks to have everything in place for a breakout 2022 season, and hopefully that will include two big games against the team he grew up cheering for.
