Rapper and singer Sean Kingston, known for hits like 'Beautiful Girls' and 'Eenie Meenie,' is facing legal troubles in South Florida. Kingston, 34, and his mother, Janice Turner, have been charged with committing over a million dollars' worth of fraud.
Kingston was arrested at Fort Irwin, California, where he was performing, and has been extradited to Broward County, Florida. Turner was also arrested during a SWAT team raid at Kingston's rented mansion in Fort Lauderdale.
The charges against Kingston and Turner include organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related crimes. They are accused of stealing money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and furniture.
According to arrest warrants, the duo allegedly stole nearly half a million dollars in jewelry, over $200,000 from Bank of America, $160,000 from the Escalade dealer, more than $100,000 from First Republic Bank, and $86,000 from a customized bed maker.
Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Anderson, was already on probation for trafficking stolen property. His mother, Janice Turner, has a prior conviction for bank fraud and served time in prison.
