Rapper Rich Homie Quan Dies From Accidental Drug Overdose

Popular hip-hop artist Rich Homie Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, tragically passed away at the age of 33 due to an accidental drug overdose, as confirmed by the medical examiner's office in Georgia. The official report revealed that Quan's death was caused by a combination of drugs including fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, and promethazine.

Quan's body was discovered without any signs of trauma, leading authorities to rule his death as accidental. His brother recounted finding Quan seemingly asleep on the kitchen floor before realizing something was amiss. Subsequently, a woman called the police after noticing that Quan was unresponsive and cold.

Rich Homie Quan rose to fame in the mid-2010s with hit singles like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Type of Way,” which garnered widespread acclaim in the hip-hop community. He collaborated with notable artists such as Jeezy, Meek Mill, and Lil Dicky, solidifying his presence in the music industry.

In 2018, Quan released his first and only studio album titled “Rich as in Spirit,” featuring tracks that showcased his talent and versatility as an artist. Despite his untimely death, Rich Homie Quan's contributions to the rap genre will be remembered by fans and fellow musicians alike.
