Rapper Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Terrel Bowman, has been sentenced to two years and nine months in federal prison after pleading guilty to a federal drug offense in Georgia. The sentencing took place in his hometown of Savannah, where a U.S. District Court judge presided over the case.
Bowman, 25, admitted to a single count of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana back in August. As part of his plea agreement, prosecutors dropped additional criminal charges that were included in a December indictment. These charges accused Bowman of conspiring with others to traffic drugs such as methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.
Following his plea hearing last summer, Bowman publicly apologized to the people of Savannah and his family for his actions. The rapper, known as Quando Rondo, gained recognition with singles like “I Remember” and “ABG,” which led to a record deal with Atlantic Records. His debut album, “QPac,” was released in 2020, followed by his second album, “Recovery,” which came out last year.
