Rapper Aitch spotted filming music video in Manchester

Manchester rapper Aitch delighted fans by filming a music video on residential streets across the city. On Saturday (23 April), the Moston -born musician, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, turned up to residential streets of Manchester with a large camera crew and a crowd of fans in tow.

Fans couldn't believe their luck as they gathered to watch the 'Buss Down' rapper at work and take photos with him. In Gorton, Aitch filmed scenes in a red car on Gordon Street in Abbey Hey.

Local resident Terri Chapman, 28, from Abbey Hey, was at home when she heard noise and commotion outside.

She told the M.E.N.: "My partner had h eard noise outside so he went out to have a look. Someone on the street told him it was Aitch that was filming a music video, so he got his phone out and started to take videos.

" I came out on the street and I saw lots of people, and there were c ameras, technical equipment, screens and loads of lights. I was very shocked when I found out who it was.

"I couldn't believe Aitch was filming in our area. There was a fellow who tried to get close to Aitch, but the security guards shouted at him to stand back, as he was in the shot.

"There was a crowd of people who were trying to get close to Aitch and he did stop to take a couple of pictures, and then he left quickly and the crew moved to another location."

In Newton Heath, the rapper filmed on Mountain Street near the Fresh 'n Frozen convenience store.

Aitch is currently sitting at number three in the Official Singles Chart with his hit track 'Baby', featuring U.S. singer Ashanti. He is a proud Mancunain, regularly referencing his hometown in his lyrics.

Raised in Moston, Aitch used to play football for a team called Moston Brook. After his freestyle raps caught the attention of industry professions, he quickly catapulted to fame and has since collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran and fellow Mancunian rapper Bugzy Malone.

Now, Aitch has six Top 10 songs and two BRIT Award nominations under his belt and has recently been announced as a performer at Radio 1's Big Weekend and the Capital FM Summertime Ball.
