The months-long saga of star forward Kevin Durant asking out of his current team, the Brooklyn Nets, is officially over.
The team released a statement Tuesday declaring the sides had mended fences and put their differences behind them, which makes the situation for the Boston Celtics easier when it comes to preparing for the season ahead.
It also provided relief to fans who had long since tired of the seemingly never-ending rounds of leaks and counter-leaks by interested parties the media had to report on. With the rumors that had been hanging over the team and fans now firmly in the rearview mirror, the question becomes how this affects the team.
To try to answer those questions, the folks over at NBC Sports Boston put out a clip of Marc Bertrand, Scott Zolak and Rob “Hardy” Poole’s rapid reaction to the KD news.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they think it means for the Celtics.
