Raphinha proves Jamie Carragher right as he sends Leeds United fans wild with sublime skill

Leeds United fans were left purring over Raphinha after his sublime piece of skill against Crystal Palace.

The Brazilian winger has been in fantastic form for United since his move from Rennes in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has shown his Champions League quality in a Leeds United shirt and left fans breathless with a typical Brazilian piece of showboating.

Raphinha's clever flick and turn highlighted why Jamie Carragher was so impressed with the winger, having raved about his potential before kick-off.

“Bielsa always likes real wide players and attacking players in those positions," Carragher told Monday Night Football.

"I’ve been really impressed with his passing as well, he’s a massive goal threat. It was a few passes I was watching against Leicester that really impressed me in that game.

"He has been certainly a standout in the last few weeks, he’s played a huge role in Bamford getting goals at Leicester.”

Leeds fans were left cooing over their star man too after leaving Gary Cahill for dead, with former striker Jermaine Beckford highlighting the fantastic piece of trickery.

Raphinha has been Leeds' star man this season, scoring and assisting twice in his last three matches.

With every passing game, the winger is looking an ever bigger bargain, with Leeds paying just £15million to Rennes for his services.

As a result, Liverpool have been credited with an interest, though Leeds have Raphinha tied down to a long-term contract.
