
Jaipur: A Salawas Jail inmate on Friday night allegedly issued death threat against Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, police said on Saturday.

A 29-year-old, who is serving life sentence in a rape case, called the Jaipur police control room and threatened to kill the CM, according to the police.
Police Launches Investigation
After receiving the phone call, police launched the investigation and traced the location of the mobile phone used to make the call to the Salawas jail in Dausa.

Search Carried Out in Jail
Following which, search was carried out in the jail from 3 am to 7 am on Friday and the phone was recovered from the jail, police said, adding that the matter is being further investigated. (With Agency Inputs)
