Rape charges against man and teen after alleged sexual assaults in Hindley Street car park

A man and a teenage boy have been arrested and charged with the rape of two young women in a car park off Hindley Street in Adelaide's CBD over the weekend.

Police said the crimes occurred between 11pm on Saturday and 12:30am on Sunday, and allege that "two female victims were sexually assaulted".

Detectives arrested a 20-year-old man of no fixed address on Sunday and a 17-year-old boy from Blair Athol on Monday morning.

Both have been charged with rape.

In a statement released this afternoon, SA Police said the two accused had appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court and Adelaide Youth Court, respectively, on Monday.

Police have also said the victims are both young women.

"Investigations are continuing and anyone with information that may assist are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," police said.
