Strictly's Ranvir Singh shares snap of son with haircut inspired by Giovanni Pernice

Ranvir Singh may have left Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend, falling at the last hurdle before the final, but the influence of her dance partner is still showing.

The 43-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter formed a close bond with Giovanni Pernice, 30, who helped her dance to the semi-finals of Strictly.

While he helped Ranvir untangle her two left feet to inspire some exquisite performances for the Strictly judges, it is his haircut that has left a lasting impression on her son.

Posting a rare snap of Tushaan, eight, on Instagram, Ranvir celebrated their connection with the Italian dancer by showing that her boy has had his shoulder length hair shaved down to resemble Giovanni's style.

Ranvir captioned the post, which had before and after photos: "My little boy...! It's the influence of @pernicegiovann1"

The GMB presenter, who split from her husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal before her Strictly stint, also shared a glamorous shot of her fresh trim.

Earlier this week, Ranvir spoke of her disappointment at missing out on the final, when speaking to Lorraine on ITV.

She said that tiredness may have been a factor after she spent long days presenting on GMB in the morning before heading to the dance studio to learn her steps.

She said: "I couldn't believe how far I had got, to be honest. To get so close and to not make the final, it does hurt a little bit.

"But in the end really, I am glad that we left on a beautiful dance - and I don't mean the jive obviously!"

Speaking about the long hours the BBC show brought, Ranvir said: "I think in the end maybe a little bit of tiredness crept up on me."

Ranvir continued: "Giovanni, if he was here, would say that in the sense that my energy levels definitely started to reduce a little bit towards the end.

"I think it's just a build-up of a lack of sleep and working, and then obviously I have got a son to go home to so I couldn't really train until 10pm. I needed to go home, that's my job, my main job is being a mum so it's a lot of juggling but it was amazing to do."
