Sure they have already chosen Rami Malek to play iconic rocker Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic but we are still going to tell them to consider Ranveer Singh for the role. The Bollywood actor has done such an impressive impression of the Queen frontman that even his biggest fans will have to check twice to make sure it is indeed him.
As part of his role as the brand ambassador for Swtizerland tourism, Ranveer put on a Freddie Mercury costume, complete with thick layer of gel in his hair and a moustache. He then broke into an impression of him in front of he singer’s bronze statue at Montreux Riviera. And his mannerisms are indeed quite similar to the singer’s.

Ranveer also visited the Freddie Mercury museum on his tour and saw the place where Freddie stood when he recorded his last song and his handwritten lyrics to a song. Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara to Indian parents from Gujarat.
He even enjoyed a ride on a dog sled pulled by adorable huskies and clicked pictures on top of a mountain. Check out more pictures from his trip:
Ranveer took the trip after wrapping up shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. He will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simbaa.
