We said it back in October — the Philadelphia Eagles’ linemen (specifically, Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson) recorded a Christmas album, and from what we heard back then, it was awesome.
I can confirm now that the songs we’ve heard online that they’ve released from “A Philly Special Christmas” (extra points there for the Philly Special reference) are a delight, and while I want to say they’re all winners, I decided to rank them, because why not?
But I do want to give a shoutout to these guys for getting on the mic and belting these holiday tunes out!
Let’s rank what we’ve heard online:
5
Blue Christmas
I admire the effort, I really do. It’s just so hard to do anything better than Elvis did.
4
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Hard to choose between this one and the next one, but honestly, they’re both terrific.
3
Merry Christmas Baby
Mailata can SING
2
Silent Night
Fully did NOT expect them to work in E-A-G-L-E-S. Love it.
1
White Christmas
Some of the @Eagles O-Lineman got in the booth to record “White Christmas” and they didn’t disappoint. pic.twitter.com/H8PY2amIDe

We haven’t heard the full version they did, but goodness, this put a humongous smile on my face. Well done, gents.
