Rani Mukerji opens up about being criticised for her unique voice; says people today recognise her by her voice

Rani Mukerji recently recalled the time when people had doubts about her voice when she entered into the film industry. The actress revealed that many filmmakers tried to convince her to get her dialogues dubbed by a voice artist.

Spilling some beans on the same, Rani told a news portal that although filmmakers tried to get her dialogues dubbed by voice artists, she put her foot down and dubbed her own dialogues. The actress added that if she really believed what people said about her voice, then her voice would not have been loved by millions of people today.

According to her, people recognise her by her voice today. Not many people thought that her voice could become so special, Rani told Pinkvilla.

Rani also further spoke about carving a niche for herself in the industry and living on her own terms. She believed in creating her own belief and sticking to it. According to her, she is not deterred by people’s opinion about her because if she starts looking at that, she will have to start living for other people rather than herself.

On the work front, she is currently promoting her upcoming film, ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. It will hit the theatres on March 17, 2023.
