The Scottish Premiership has more riding on it this season than in any other league campaign for a decade with direct entry to the Champions League group stage virtually guaranteed.
Celtic are favourites to come out on top as they hold a three point lead plus superior goal difference over Rangers.
However, the Light Blues have a second stab at reaching the promised land as they continue to make progress in the Europa League.
The winners of UEFA’s second tier competition qualify for the premier competition and the Ibrox side’s odds are shortening with every round.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men are odds-on to reach the last eight following a 3-0 first leg win against Red Star Belgrade in the last-16.
And kicking off the Hotline Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: “Should Rangers do the unthinkable and win the Europa League then it would make no difference whether Celtic win the league or not as Rangers would get an automatic Champions League spot.
“I’ve said many times that Rangers keep boosting the coefficient and Celtic are just trying to gain from Rangers ’ European success this season by trying to win the league.
“I hope other clubs in Scotland take note of Celtic’s neglect of the coefficient - a statement made by their manager after the humiliation by Bodo/Glimt.
“At least now we know Celtic and their board only care about the money and not their fans.”
Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: “Rangers were called arrogant before the Red Star Belgrade game. Well, if that’s what takes them all the way to the final then they can be as arrogant as they like.”
Gers were grateful for the use of VAR with Red Star Belgrade correctly having three goals chopped off for offside while Ryan Kent was awarded a penalty.
That has seen Light Blue legions claim that it would be a different story in the league if video technology was in use in Scotland.
John Bruce emailed: “There appears to be a big difference between Rangers games domestically and in Europe.
“Could this be because, domestically, the games are broken up by persistent fouls, cynical fouls and jersey pulling before the referee takes action, as well as opposing teams camped in their own half?
“While in the European games, the referees don't allow nearly as many fouls before handing out yellow cards and the opposing teams actually come out and play football.
“And, obviously, there is VAR which would have wiped out half the blatantly wrong decisions which have been made in our league.”
But Ciaran Mallon, Belfast , said: “How pathetic to see all these Celtic-obsessed Rangers fans moaning about Celtic and VAR instead of talking about their own team’s result in Europe.
“This lot are never happy. I can’t wait to see what their excuse will be when VAR does come in and they still find themselves playing second fiddle to an exciting Celtic team who are only going to get better.”
Danny Robertson, Paisley, said: “Caller Henry Moffat called Ryan Kent’s supposed diving as the biggest farce in British football.
“Is he on a different planet from the rest of us? The penalties that have been awarded have been sone so by foreign referees and with the help of VAR.
“The very fact that Rangers have progressed so far in Europe with these protocols in place while others from these shores have not, but apparently thrive domestically, should be the issue under investigation.”
Chris Lowe, Yoker, said: “We must get rid of the bowling club style voting system that exists in Scottish football to push through VAR.
“Every top league has it. Giving 42 clubs a vote on it when probably 25 of them have no chance at ever playing in the top league sums up our game and the mismanagement that governs it.
“VAR will stop officials being terrified of Celtic and flush out certain linesmen’s odd decision making.”
