Rangers will cash in on Goldson & Tavernier for 'reasonable' offers

It is claimed Rangers are willing to accept a 'reasonable' offer from Saudi Arabia for Connor Golson and James Tavernier.

Reports in the Middle East have emerged to state that a suitable bid could tempt the Ibrox club into selling one or both of their defensive stalwarts.

Steven Gerrard is keen on a reunion with the English duo at Al-Ettifaq.

It emerged last month that the Liverpool legend had made it clear to club chiefs that he wanted both players as part of his summer recruitment drive.

Both Goldson and Tavernier played a pivotal role in Rangers winning the Scottish Premiership title under Gerrard during the 2020/21 season.

And he would like to reunite with both players in order to bolster his squad having finished sixth in the Pro League last term.

Hi Koura reports Gerrard is of the belief Rangers will be willing to cash in if they receive a reasonable offer.

Philippe Clement has made it clear he sees both players as part of his plans for next season and beyond.

He commented on the speculation: "Yes, I expect them to be here next season, that is my expectation. My players come to speak with me if they have doubts or if they want to go or if they are out of contract. We have that relationship.

“If I need to speak to every player where there is a rumour about, then we won’t train too much.”

Meanwhile, Rangers have announced the pre-contract signing of Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan.

The 20-year-old will arrive at Ibrox on July 1 and becomes Philippe Clement's third summer acquisition following the additions of Jefte and Oscar Cortes.

The promising young defender honed his skills in the youth system of Ligue 1 club, Nantes, for two years before making a switch other San Siro in 2021.
