Rangers hero Kenny Miller reckons Malik Tillman has already decided he DOESN'T want to return to Ibrox next season.
Michael Beale revealed ahead of Sunday's clash with Aberdeen that the Bayern Munich loanee had returned to his parent club after picking up a knock during the Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Celtic. The club are yet to decide whether to trigger a purchase option to sign him permanently from the Bundesliga giants meaning the playmaker may never play another game for Rangers after the hamstring injury abruptly ended his campaign.
Beale revealed that talks over a permanent deal were still "ongoing in the background" with the £5million option to buy in the 20-year-old's contract - which Miller has taken as a strong hint that the club are keen to keep the attacking midfielder next season. However, he believes Tillman will want to take on a challenge away from the Scottish Premiership next term.
Asked if Tillman would play for Rangers again, Miller told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: "I don't think so. I think it won't be for Michael's will to try..."
Host Gordon Duncan interjected, asking if the former Ibrox hero thought Rangers "wanted" the deal. Miller went on: "It sounds that way. If you jump back a few months there was talk of triggering that option and that they want to pursue a potential deal.
"I just think the boy might see his future elsewhere. That would be my gut instinct on it. I think it's a big chunk of money. I think he is a wonderful player and Michael sees him every day in training, the potential he has got and the things he could accomplish. I just think it's a lot of money for Rangers to be shelling out if it's £5million."
