RANGERS last night confirmed that they were in talks with UEFA and Police Scotland ahead of next week's Champions League tie against Napoli.
The SFA and SPFL confirmed that all matches in Scotland would be postponed following the death of The Queen.
European matches are set to go ahead as planned but Rangers confirmed they were "aware of policing and resource pressures".
Some reports had suggested that the fixture against Napoli could be reversed and played away from home, but Herald and Times Sport understands this will not be the case and has never been considered.
A statement from the club last night read: "At this difficult time for the United Kingdom, we are cognisant of ongoing uncertainty regarding supporter arrangements and travel plans for next week.
"We are aware of policing and resource pressures, especially on Tuesday, 13th September.
"We can confirm that discussions are taking place between UEFA, Police Scotland and Rangers regarding our scheduled UEFA Champions League fixture v Napoli on Tuesday, 13th September.
"As present, the game is scheduled to take place at the scheduled date and time."
