Celtic and Rangers' controversial derby in Australia has been officially scrapped after the Ibrox club pulled out.
The Sydney Super Cup had been thrown into doubt earlier this month amid claims of unresolved issues with organisers.
And now the venture has been dramatically cancelled with Rangers ripping up their part of the agreement.
The Ibrox club insist they only pulled out due to organisers failing keep to their obligations.
They said in a statement: "After it became clear the tournament organisers were unwilling to fulfil their commitments to Rangers, we have, with immediate effect, terminated the club’s agreement with the organisers."
Record Sport exclusively revealed earlier this month the club were weighing up the financial levy of pulling out.
And prominent fans group Club 1872 blasted the club for showing "contempt" towards fans over their participation controversial tournament.
The friendly tournament, which would have seen the Glasgow rivals meet for the first time away from Scotland, had sparked angry protests from both sets of supporters.
The competition was being billed as Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou's homecoming which many were unhappy with.
Rangers will now look at alternative options for the winter break with organisers looking for a replacement for the tournament which will see Celtic, Sydney FC and Wester Sydney Wanderers compete .
The plans had provoked a considerable backlash among supporters.
Both Celtic and Rangers staged protests at recent matches as they voiced fierce opposition.
Ibrox commercial director James Bisgrove defended the venture following its announcement earlier in March.
He insisted the friendlies would earn the club more money than an entire season's worth of SPFL revenue.
Marketing around the Cup had billed it as a homecoming for Celtic manager Postecoglou.
