Rangers vs Celtic on TV: Channel, kick-off time and live stream details for Old Firm derby

Rangers and Celtic are set to lock horns as 2023 kicks off with a blockbuster Old Firm derby.

Michael Beale has made the perfect start to life in the dugout at Ibrox with four wins from four but has failed to make a dent in Celtic's nine point lead at the top of the Premiership thanks to the relentless form of Ange Postecoglou's champions. They themselves have returned from the World Cup shutdown on top form and are yet to slip up and give the Light Blues a sniff.

However, the second derby meeting of the season will prove to be a huge occasion as victory for the champions will extend their advantage over Rangers to a whopping 12 points while a defeat at Ibrox would see the home side close the gap to just six points with plenty of football still to be played this campaign. It's set to be a huge occasion to mark the start of the new calendar year. Here's all the information you need ahead of the Old Firm derby.

Team news

Rangers' main concern in the build-up has been Alfredo Morelos but Michael Beale has confirmed he has trained and should be ready.

Antonio Colak is also deemed fit while Kemar Roofe is back in training but touch and go. However, he will be used if Morelos doesn't make it.

He said: "He [Morelos] came in yesterday and felt better. He's on his second day of recovery. As far as I can see at this moment in time he'll be available.

"Antonio Colak will be available as well but Kemar Roofe will be touch because he's done slightly less recovery.

"He [Roofe] will definitely be available if Morelos isn't. It's one of those situations, I think we've used twenty players in the four league games due to the fact I'm trying to get the group to where they are now.

"If Alfredo comes through we've played our cards quite well in terms of getting to this point with everybody a little bit fitter and strong than they were a month ago."

Tom Lawrence, Filip Helander and John Souttar remain out.

Celtic's biggest doubt will surround key left-back Greg Taylor.

Like Morelos, he was forced off at Easter Road against Hibs but Ange Postecoglou is confident he will pass fit.

Providing an update midweek, he said: “I think so. He felt a bit tight. With the game the way it was, he decided conservatively to come off.”
