Rangers and Celtic will reportedly play the final derby clash of the season on May 13/14.
It's claimed the Glasgow duo will square off in the second round of post-split fixtures.
Reports earlier this week had suggested the SPFL had been urged to push the match back from the first fixture over policing concerns.
Celtic can seal the title with one more win and therefore should they have played Rangers first then there was potential to claim the league crown at Ibrox.
Ange Postecolgou's side are a solitary victory away after picking up a point against Motherwell before Rangers slipped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Aberdeen.
However, The Scottish Sun report that Rangers and Celtic will play the final derby fixture of the league calendar in the second post-split slot on the weekend of May 13/14.
And the report goes on to claim that Celtic are expected to face Hearts first in the split on May 6/7.
SPFL chiefs are expected to confirm the post-split fixtures for top and bottom six clubs today.
Celtic and Rangers will meet at Hampden this weekend in the Scottish Cup semi-final with a 50/50 split in fan allocation at the national stadium.
Falkirk play Inverness in the first semi-final contest on Saturday with a 12.15pm kick-off before the Glasgow rivals compete on Sunday, April 30 at 1.30pm.
Ange Postecoglou - ahead of the semi-final - revealed Reo Hatate, Jota and Liel Abada could return to fitness, he said: "We will see. Reo has been out for four weeks and he will have to train all week. It is fair to say they're close. (Liel) Abada is also close. So we will see.
"We'll see how they go and irrespective if they are available or not we are just going to prepare ourselves and get ready for a big game."
Michael Beale said ahead of the match: "Next week will just take care of itself. It’s a huge game, it’s a derby.
"Our team will be different by one or two players as well. But it’s a completely different way the game will be played."
