With the hopes of silverware dashed by Celtic, Rangers go into their first fixture of the split a wounded side having been dumped out of the Scottish Cup at Hampden last weekend.
It's been a tough run-in for the Gers, who were handed the tough task of overturning Celtic's runaway lead in the Premiership, and the recent trip to Pittodrie all but left their ambitions in tatters after Liam Scales and Bojan Miovski downed the Ibrox outfit in the 2-0 defeat.
But despite the chance of snatching the Premiership looking all but gone, there is a lot at stake for the Rangers squad as they look to gain revenge on their north-east rivals all while looking to prove to Michael Beale that they are worth it as the manager promises to undergo a major squad rebuild this summer.

Barry Robson's men have been in resurgent form since he took the reins in the Granite City, but having not faced off at Ibrox since October it's been all change for both sides, and Beale will be eager not to hand Aberdeen a first victory at Ibrox since March 2019.
