It was a dismal night all round for the men in blue.
A bruising 3-0 defeat at Celtic sent Rangers tumbling off the Premiership summit as Ange Postecoglou's side took control of the title race.
A double from Reo Hatate was followed up by a Liel Abada goal to cap a rampant first-half display from the home side at Celtic Park.
The third, in particular, was a hammer blow for Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's side as they went into the interval with their hopes of recovery all-but extinguished.
It also summed up a torrid evening for left-back Borna Barisic.
The Croatian was left badly exposed on Rangers' left side as Abada and Josip Juranovic rampaged forward.
And he was caught napping when Hatate lifted a cross into the six yard box and Abada nipped in to flick the ball beyond Allan McGregor.
Barisic's lack of reaction to the incoming delivery baffled fans and commentators alike, perhaps nowhere more so than on Rangers TV.
Former Rangers star Gordon Smith joined regular play-by-play man Tom Miller to cover the game and he was stunned by Barisic's defending.
Incredulous, Smith said: "What's Barisic doing? What's he doing?"
Some cheeky Celtic fans online drew comparisons with Hugh Burns' infamous "what's the goalie doin', Tom?!" line on Rangers TV from 2018.
Burns' quote has very much become part of the wacky Scottish football lexicon over the past few years, so it's little wonder supporters picked up on a hint of it with Smith's verdict on the goal.
