Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou watched on as mischievous Australian TV host Tristan MacManus queried if there's really another team in Scotland.
The Parkhead boss has been doing the rounds Down Under as he promotes the Sydney Super Cup in his homeland. The Hoops will be joined by Everton and local teams Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers for a November mini-tournament that has football fans abuzz in Australia.
Media outlets all over the country have been falling over themselves to get a slice of Postecoglou and it was Studio 10's turn. Visibly buzzing MacManus was in with the first question and he aimed a light-hearted dig at Rangers, who were initially announced for the Sydney Super Cup but pulled out following fan backlash.
The host said: "I am buzzing. Is there really another team in Scotland? I don't think so."
Celtic lost to St Mirren in the final game before the international break and while fans will be forgiving after their first league loss in 364 days, he joked their fury chased him out of the country. He laughed: "We lost for the first time in a year, that's why I left the country."
Host MacManus also dropped the bombshell that Postecoglou is a Liverpool fan, which adds a bit of extra spice to their clash with Everton Down Under. He added: "The boys will be in good nick. It'll be a real game, and as you said, I wouldn't mind knocking off Everton! That would be nice."
